Program DescriptionSinclair's Social Sciences and the Humanities department is dedicated to preparing students for life. They learn to maintain individual and family health, physical and emotional relationships, and how to manage their resources. Fashion, foods, and family are all areas of this department that can be explored by students who are interested in expanding upon their life skills. Developing sound research skills in preparation for post-secondary education is an important component of all courses. This department teaches students practical life skills such as parenting techniques, sewing, and food preparation. Students that are enrolled in Humanities programs find themselves more in tune to both personal and social life; they are ready to tackle challenges involving home care, relationships and social life. Preparation for the FutureCareers in child care, teaching, nursing, and fashion design are open to students in Humanities. Other career opportunities can be found in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, social work, and counseling.
