Program Description

Classes in Physical Education allow students to improve their physical health and their attitude towards exercise and a health active lifestyle. Family life and personal fitness are among the topics covered. They participate in various sports and activities, working co-operatively with a team, as well as individually. Possible areas of interest include fitness, weight training, a variety of team and individual sports, recreational activities, leadership, adaptive physical education and outdoor education. The purchase of a uniform is necessary for students to participate in physical education classes. The uniform consists of a white Sinclair T-shirt and blue Sinclair shorts.

 

 

Preparation for the Future

Courses in the Physical Education department will prepare students for post-secondary education in the Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Athletic Training and Therapy, Sports Management, Fitness Training, Recreation and any of the Health Sciences. The knowledge students have gained will open career options in the above areas, as well as Education.

Celtic Athletics

Sinclair Secondary School offers a wide variety of Sports and Athletic programs, catering to both male and female only programs, as well as co-ed programs. Sinclair Secondary School students also run an active Athletic Council in support of the overall athletic program. The Athletic Council also runs a wide ranging intramural program
